[ARPG] Bagbean Prompt - Valentine's Card

"Valentine's Day is a stupid tradition, anyway," Ra mumbled to herself as the sun began to set outside her little cottage. "Not even a real holiday. Humans are so pathetic and sappy." The statement had nothing to do with the fact that she hadn't seen anyone--or received anything--all day. Nothing at all.

She glanced out the window one more time to distract herself from the tell-tale burning in her eyes. Wait...was her mailbox flag up? She hadn't put anything in there. Why would the flag be up? Probably some sprout messing with the mailbean. She sighed in annoyance and decided she'd better go take care of it.

Angrily muttering all the way to the mailbox, she shoved the flag down and yanked open the mailbox door, to make sure the sprout responsible hadn't left some kind of nasty "gift" for the mailbean to find. Instead, she saw...a card? With her name on the front?

Curious, heart undeniably beating a bit faster, she opened it.

POP! A badly-crafted cutout of that little pest, Jack, sprang out at her. Despite herself, Ra began to smile as she read the punny message inside. A stifled giggle might even have escaped her lips.

Ra would never know just how hard Jack had worked on that card--harder than most anything he had ever done, considering he usually tried to avoid doing anything--but she carried the card inside, and spent the evening in a better mood than she'd been in for quite a long time.

Eeee, it's finally finished! I've been trying to work on this all week and just haven't had time to sit down and knock it out until today. I've actually had this idea in mind since the Christmas Card prompt, so I was super happy when the V-day prompt came out and I was able to use it!

I tried kind of a fisheye perspective for fun, and I think it turned out okay. It definitely adds interest to the first panel.
